Brighouse & Rastrick Band are delighted to
announce the appointment of Alan Morrison as the bands new Musical Director and
Principal Conductor.
Alan will have responsibility for
conducting the majority of rehearsals and concerts from December 2006 onwards
and will also front the band at all of the major contests next year.
Richard Evans has agreed to accept the
role of Associate Conductor to the band and will conduct at several concerts
throughout the year and most notably direct the defence of the Brass in Concert
Championship in November which Brighouse won so emphatically this year.
Alan Morrison therefore relinquishes the
position of Principal Cornet with the band and and his replacement is Stephen
Wilkinson, previously Principal Cornet with the Fairey Band.
Alan's 'Cornet Cascade' recording, is now
available in CD format only. If you would like to purchase
